March 2024 Reading Wrap-Up

Phew! March has been my busiest reading month of the year so far, but despite having a few blog tour commitments, I was determined not to let my NetGalley 2024 releases or my #TBRbacklog books slip!

I still have a few reviews to write up, but in March I read a total of 13 books (12 new to me and one re-read):

🕵🏻‍♂️A Silent Way to Die
🌺The Belladonna Maze
🐺Assassin’s Fate
❄Small Things Like These
I enjoyed the #TBRChallenge themes this month, and was particularly grateful for “a book you’ve been putting off”, as it led me to finally complete the 16-book Realm of the Elderlings series by reading “Assassin’s Fate” – a series I’ve been reading for over 10 years!

🚂The Mystery of the Blue Train
This was this month’s choice for for #ReadChristie2024, and this time we were back with Poirot for a train-based murder published in 1928.

🔎The Antique Hunter’s Guide to Murder
The Future of Trust
📖End of Story

🌹Which Child
I was a little over-enthusiastic in signing up for blog tours this month, but I can never turn away from a chance to read a great new release, and feel very lucky every time I’m picked! This month included some great mystery and thriller stories, along with one of my lesser-read genres, nonfiction!

🦊Small Hours
👩🏻‍🏫Day One
This year I’m trying hard to keep on top of the publication days of books I’ve been lucky enough to gain advance access to via NetGalley. I was very much looking forward to reading “Small Hours” by Bobby Palmer, after enjoying his debut novel so much last year. “Day One” is the latest book from Abigail Dean (author of “Girl A”), and was an emotional and gripping story.

📕War and Peace
Our epic readalong continues, courtesy of  @footnotes.and.tangents. We are now a quarter of the way through our chapter-a-day read, and have already seen a vast array of human emotion and experience. I’m really enjoying the slow pace of this read, as it really gives me a chance to get to know the characters and wallow in the story.

I hope everyone had a good reading month too – I’ll be aiming for a slightly less jam-packed April!
